After Failing to Join the Protagonist's Party, I Became the Strongest Monster

.

Ara was once a carefree little octopus in the deep sea. But when the uncanny invaded her world, it turned her into a tentacle monster. Later, the uncanny chose her and sent her into a world of instances, where she played both players and NPCs, spending her days slacking off and doing the bare minimum.

Until one day, she learned that the world she lived in was a horror novel. The male lead, Chi Mo, was a max-level powerhouse who had returned to the beginner's village, while the female lead, Qu Xinzhi, was born with superhuman strength and could take down a monster with one punch.

And she was just a nameless monster in an instance.

Ara didn't want to die. The next time she played an NPC in an instance, she tried to get on good terms with Chi Mo, who was there too. But she saw him cutting down the uncanny one by one. After he killed a tentacle monster, he looked at the writhing tentacles covering the ground with disgust.

"Disgusting."

Ara's heart shattered.

She left the instance and took three months to recover. This time, she decided to befriend the female lead, Qu Xin.

After saving her and becoming friends, Ara asked as if it were just a passing thought, "A Xin, what do you think of octopuses?"

Qu Xin replied excitedly, "I love them!"

Ara's eyes curved into a smile.

"Braised tentacles are the tastiest!"

Ara's smile froze, and she fled the instance that very night.

After these two experiences, Ara came to understand that only the uncanny could be her friends.

She decided to team up with other uncanny creatures and work hard to get stronger, so the male and female leads wouldn't be able to kill her.

"What can you do?"

The uncanny creatures she sought refuge with looked down on her. "You're weak and small. What makes you think you can join us?"

Ara froze for a moment, then sadly hugged her own tentacles.

Even her fellow uncanny creatures didn't want to accept her...

Seeing the poisonous mist Ara had coughed up from her tentacles in her overwhelming sorrow easily corrode their bodies, the uncanny creatures cried out in fear, "Wait! We were just joking. We'd be more than happy to accept you!"

From then on, every day they watched Ara, who was strong enough to kill an uncanny creature with a single tentacle, kill them all while crying.
