I Transmigrated into a Background Character and Got a Happy Ending with the Tragic, Handsome Male Supporting Character

.

Su Su transmigrates into a cultivation novel about a tragic romance between master and disciple, becoming an unnamed passerby, and is bound to a System tasked with making sure the plot follows the original.

The System says it's an extremely simple mission: she just has to check in at important plot points.

...That is, until the powerful, tragic master senior brother appears.

The senior brother is a good person, with lofty ambitions and a single-minded dedication to the sword. When there's trouble, he really does step up.

He slays the demonic beasts in secret realms, swallows the evil thoughts of demons, and even charges straight into the deadly traps set for the protagonist.

Under his diligent and responsible watch, the scheming female supporting character can't even sneak into the sect, let alone make it to the events that follow. A beginner-level mission has been turned into a hell-level one.

Su Su: …I don't know if this counts as tragic, but he sure is a workaholic.

"How about," the System suggests, "trying to win him over and turn him into a lovesick fool?"

Extra Scene One:

When a demonic beast appears in the secret realm, Xie Luowu fights it with all his might. After he and the beast stab each other through, he leans against the wall, propping himself up with his sword.

Su Su tries to check his injuries, but he dodges her.

Xie Luowu furrows his brow slightly. "It's dirty."

Su Su is confused. "What?"

"The sword. It's dirty."

Su Su: ?

Dude, your intestines are hanging out, and you're still worried about whether your sword is dirty?

Extra Scene Two:

After deciding to win Xie Luowu over, Su Su brings him to watch the male and female leads practice swordsmanship.

"What do you think?" she asks eagerly.

Xie Luowu frowns deeply. "They've already made two mistakes."

Su Su: ?

I wanted you to watch them fall in love and start getting all fluttery, not to point out where their sword forms are wrong!

In the end, he sighs and sums it up: "Romance really does get in the way of the sword path."

Su Su tries all sorts of methods, but never manages to win Xie Luowu over. She can't help growing disheartened, but resolves to make one last attempt.

She prepares everything and seeks him out on a moonlit night to confess her feelings.

A hint of confusion appears on his usually expressionless face.

"Haven't we been together for ages?"

Su Su: ?
