She Says I'm a Scumbag, But I Beg to Differ

Please don't read this yet. I'm still deciding whether to unlock it. This novel has two versions, and I'll eventually pick one to focus on the romance and finish. The current version is the silly one, so don't read it. The blurbs for both versions are below:

Li Qiu and Wei Shiyu are the cultivation world's best-known model couple. They grew up together, married young, and have been deeply in love for a thousand years, with a sweet and happy relationship.

In that story, Wei Shiyu was born lowly and trained desperately. At twenty, he was chosen to guard Li Qiu, the thirteenth clan's princess. Later, Li Qiu was taken with his beautiful, striking looks and forced him to marry her through her power, leaving him in a subordinate position for over a thousand years.

He wasn't an elegant gentleman. He was calculating and power-hungry, willing to sell himself for a higher position, ruthless and cruel.

He and Li Qiu were only pretending to get along; they were completely at odds.

By chance, Wei Shiyu was gravely wounded and rescued by a demoness. They stood on opposite sides, and the demoness was tortured by Wei Shiyu again and again as she fought for her people. They loved and hated each other in equal measure. Wei Shiyu was cold and merciless, while the demoness was stubborn and unyielding. Yet their love had already begun to take root as they spent time together.

After the demoness gravely wounded Wei Shiyu once more, Li Qiu flew into a rage, and the demoness was driven to leap from a tower. When Wei Shiyu rushed over, all he saw was her falling from the high tower, her soul scattered and destroyed.

Overcome with grief and heartbroken, Wei Shiyu went on a killing spree. He used Li Qiu's princess soul to remake the demoness's soul and bring her back to life.

Li Qiu froze, then immediately decided to act before it was too late and divorce Wei Shiyu first.

Wei Shiyu was stunned when he got the divorce letter. Confused and aggrieved, he clenched it in his fist and pounded on the gate of Zhaohua Hall.

His voice trembled with anger. "Li Qiu! When you threw yourself into my arms and insisted I marry you, you promised I'd be the only one and that we'd never be apart! Now, after a thousand years, have you taken a liking to some other pretty boy?!"

"I even put up with our once-a-year marital duties. Every time, I burned incense devoutly and did everything in my power to satisfy you. Then I spent every other day alone in the empty bedroom, keeping myself chaste. And now you say you don't want me, and that's it?!"

"Li Qiu! Open the door. I absolutely refuse to accept this. If you don't give me a reason, then I'll..."

Li Qiu opened the door and coolly looked at Wei Shiyu outside, his face livid and the corners of his eyes red, yet still as handsome as jade. "Then you'll what?"

Wei Shiyu pursed his lips and took out a washboard. "Then I'll kneel properly and beg you to show mercy, calm down, and take back the divorce letter."

Li Qiu looked at him and thought of the ending she met in the book. She gave a cold laugh.

Wei Shiyu racked his brains. He remembered that yesterday had been their once-a-year night together, and figured he'd been so energetic that she couldn't take it.

So he pursed his lips, took a deep breath, and said, "At most, we can do it once every three years. Any less often really won't work... All right, all right. However often you say, I'll listen to you."

(Silly version blurb) Li Qiu's husband is handsome, good-tempered, and blessed with an indescribably perfect body. He's the best son-in-law in the Shanhai Realm!

But one day after they got married, Li Qiu had a dream and discovered that she was living inside a book.

In the book, she was the wicked second female lead who constantly stood in the way of the main couple's romance and ruined other people's lives.

Her live-in husband, Wei Shiyu, was the villainous second male lead with a powerful background. After he was gravely injured and lost his memories, her father had forced him to marry into their family. When Wei Shiyu recovered his memories, he hated her for taking his primal yang and robbing him of his chastity, making him feel he'd betrayed the female lead, so he tormented her in every way.

After waking from the dream, she didn't dare move. She decided to pretend to sleep and make it through the night. Then she heard Wei Shiyu threaten her beside her ear in a series of different tones, even putting on a high-pitched voice: "Qiuqiu, you took my primal yang. I'm a little angry, you know."

Li Qiu didn't dare open her eyes. Tears welled in her heart. "..."

He really had recovered his memories, and he was seriously twisted!

At daybreak, she immediately decided to act before it was too late and divorce the scumbag Wei Shiyu to protect herself.

Wei Shiyu was stunned when he got the divorce letter. Seething with indignation, he chased after her through the night, covering eight hundred miles.

"You call me a scumbag, but I refuse to accept that!"

At the same time, the [Villain's Personal Self-Salvation System] in his mind was screaming nonstop: "I told you the great villain is a black-hearted yandere! After being divorced, you're supposed to destroy the world and flatten the Nine Provinces! Boss, you're seriously OOC! Electric shock warning! Maintain your black-hearted yandere persona and get the vibe right!"
