To You

On the day of her audition, Jiang Yun Zhu ran into her ex.

The ex she had dumped and then blocked.

After many years apart, the man had long since shed his boyish awkwardness.

Everyone was asking his opinion about the audition. He turned his face slightly and answered absentmindedly, without even looking at her. In the dim light, his features were striking and well-defined, his brows and eyes open and bright, and his whole bearing was impossible to mistake for anything but rebellious and carefree.

This was his production.

Unlike her lukewarm career,

Qi Chuan's films were all box-office hits. Still young, he was already one of the most sought-after directors in the industry.

The audition was doomed.

Jiang Yun Zhu thought.

But she never expected that, that very evening, someone who was obviously using an alternate account would add her.

"Miss Jiang,"

his verification message read,

"When are you going to take me off your blacklist?"

Qi Chuan became famous at a young age. He was rebellious and unruly, and no one had ever seen him lower his head to anyone.

That is, until paparazzi caught a video around the release of the latest movie he directed.

In the footage, beneath the brilliant midday sun, a man in a suit bowed his head and scooped the stunning leading lady into his arms with a markedly possessive gesture.

Breaking from his usual indifference, he bit the woman's earlobe. Practically grinding his teeth, yet sounding a little aggrieved, he asked:

"Miss, why are you always the one who toys with me?"

-

Qi Chuan would always remember the day Jiang Yun Zhu broke up with him.

A once-in-a-century downpour was falling.

He stood outside her door all day, soaked to the skin, and still could not get Jiang Yun Zhu to so much as look back at him.

"We parted in a torrential downpour, and we will meet again beneath brilliant sunlight."
