Plot-Driven Reads Worth Revisiting
If you’re put off by danmei and want plot over romance, come on in. I often don’t feel like reading about people falling in love, even when it’s good. Mostly mystery and mildly frightening stories, with a few healing ones mixed in.

Some older books may not have the strongest feminist sensibilities, but if you just focus on the two female leads falling in love, they’re still great and really compelling
More Than Just Sweet Romances
A comfortable amount of female characters, with a plot-driven focus. Five stars means it's both a comfortable read and a story whose plot I genuinely love. Four stars means it's either not comfortable enough or I don't love the plot quite as much.
