Princess Shen Qingyun wields power over the entire court, and her temperament is impossible to predict. People say she is debauched and extravagant, with countless advisers in her household. She is the most scandalous princess in the Zhou Dynasty.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the young emperor hosts a banquet at Rongming Garden. Ostensibly, it's for the ruler and his ministers to celebrate together. In truth, he means to choose a husband for the princess and bring the reins of government under his control.
The banquet is full of sons from powerful families, all on edge and afraid the princess might choose them. After several rounds of wine, the young emperor asks eagerly, "Sister, have you found anyone to your liking?"
Shen Qingyun lounges languidly on a couch, sipping peach blossom wine without a care. Her cheeks are flushed, and her long eyes drift over the men at the banquet before finally settling on the aloof, proud man in a black robe.
She smiles and looks at the young emperor, every gesture brimming with allure. "I think General Li would do very nicely."
Her words cause an uproar.
Everyone in Du'an knows that the person General Li Shuo hates most is Princess Shen Qingyun.
In the eighth year of Yonghe, General Li Shuo, who guards the northwest, returns to the capital. In less than a month, he helps the young emperor eliminate corrupt officials and root out the rebels. He commands a powerful army and is a trusted confidant of the emperor.
Li Shuo made a name for himself at a young age. Upright and principled, this military man nevertheless cuts a dashing figure, riding with youthful confidence. He is the most dazzling and free-spirited young man in Du'an.
Yet soon after returning to the capital, this spirited young general catches the eye of Princess Shen Qingyun.
First, she claims ghosts are haunting the princess's residence and that only a decisive, masculine man can suppress them. Then she feigns a sprained ankle, playing hard to get until he has no choice but to "take care of her."
But she forgets that this man is a vicious wolf on the battlefield, and if she provokes him too much, he might just devour her.
Late at night, he roughly holds back her lips just before they meet his. His dark eyes are stern, his voice low and heavy with barely restrained anger. "What exactly does the princess want?"
"What do I want?" Shen Qingyun's face is flushed with wine, her voice husky. "Can't the general tell? I can't control my feelings for you!"
She expects him to reject her harshly again, but instead Li Shuo says, "If your feelings are truly uncontrollable, then I'll accept the princess's offer."

[Coming Soon]
Embracing the Moon, young assassin x fallen princess
The Great Liang fell, and the world changed overnight. The princess became a prisoner.
When Chu Mu escaped the palace, she never imagined she would be captured by human traffickers and nearly sold as a slave on the grasslands.
While fleeing, Chu Mu encountered a young man.
He held a long sword stained with blood, and a mangled corpse lay at his feet.
The traffickers hurried after her. Seeing the young man as her savior, Chu Mu rushed up to him in a panic and cried, "Husband! You've finally come to save me, husband! I'm so scared, sob! Husband!"
The young man: ???
Several corpses fell to the ground. In the ensuing silence, a cold hand lifted Chu Mu's chin. The young man stared down at her, his jade-white face smeared with blood. "What did you call me?"
Chu Mu trembled all over, her eyes reddening. Hot tears ran over the young man's palm as she stammered, "When I was eight, I once had a dream... In the dream, I had a husband who looked exactly like you."
After Zhou Shi completed the final task assigned by his sect, he had nothing left to keep him in the world and planned to end his life. Just as he was about to do it, a girl appeared from nowhere and threw her arms around him, calling him "husband."
He saw through her flimsy lie and paid her no mind. But the girl clung to him anyway, chattering like a little jerboa and following him everywhere, insisting she wanted to repay him.
When he tried to die, she stopped him with all her might. Then, foolishly, she offered him a piece of jade and asked him to take her home.
When he heard where she was going, Zhou Shi laughed on the spot. "Do you know how far Yinzhou is from the border?"
Chu Mu counted on her fingers. "Six thousand li."
The young man raised an eyebrow with a smile, folded his arms, and looked her up and down. Leaning against the window, he said meaningfully, "This jade won't cover the whole journey, Chu Mu. I don't make losing deals."
Later, he not only made that losing deal.
He really did end up losing.
The girl was delicate and frail, blown over by the wind. She couldn't bear the cold or the blazing sun. Though she was as fragile and pitiful as a flower, she was more resilient than grass.
Like the sunlight: stay in it long enough, and it warms you.
One day, as Chu Mu drank the medicine Zhou Shi had brought her, she asked anxiously, "Zhou Shi, am I a lot of trouble?"
The young man gently wiped the medicine from her lips and slipped a piece of sugar into her mouth. His voice was calm and matter-of-fact. "I don't mind."
"For you, I'd gladly bear it all."
[Reading Notes]
*The male lead is eighteen, and the female lead is fourteen. A pure, innocent love between a young boy and girl.
*Both are each other's first and only love. The male lead is weary of the world and heartless; the female lead is resilient and sunny. A warm, healing romance.
*A very sweet story. If it's not sweet, come find me~
Theme: Keep your heart turned toward the light and never give up.

"Ripples." Ripples describe the ripples on the water surface blown by the wind. It is often used as a metaphor for subtle activities in the heart. Birds and ripples are probably not compatible with each other, right?
Great description! (Cover nose)
Wow, you are really good at writing.
Already impatient(?д?;?)
We all like to do whatever we want.
Come on, big brother! Xiao Pojiang has so many things to do
Look at it, come on! Looking forward to how the plot between Qingyun and the Emperor will develop later.
It's all fine~ It depends on how you want to write it. Why didn't the princess tell her brother?
Seeing this "promise" reminds me of beauty's scheming. Is this book a fiction? Which dynasty is the main reference?
