The Little Beauty Trapped by a Monster

Ji Qingyu has been targeted by a monster.

After the college entrance exams, Ji Qingyu accepts an invitation from his classmates to spend the summer at their castle, nestled deep in the mountains.

On his first day there, he takes a tumble, and the rushing river sweeps his glasses away.

Ji Qingyu, born with poor eyesight and unable to tell people from animals five meters away: ...?

All he can do is count sheep in his room.

But as time goes by, the castle and his classmates begin to grow stranger by the day.

First, the castle's exterior is covered by increasingly lush vines, blocking out the sky. Then objects in his room move or disappear for no reason, the food becomes impossible to identify, and he constantly feels as if someone is watching him.

The young master who has always looked down on him kneels to put on his shoes, his fingers around Ji Qingyu's ankle cold to the bone.

The school bully who used to enjoy tormenting and humiliating him becomes a cushion, protecting him when he misses a step on the stairs. But that embrace is chillingly soft, winding around him like a snake.

The rich young lady who envies his looks fusses over his appearance, gazing at him in a trance and murmuring, "You're so beautiful."

Terrified, Ji Qingyu pushes open the castle doors, but his vision is blurry and the world is a haze. He only manages a few steps before someone catches him and drags him back.

A cold hand puts his glasses on for him.

They surround him, all wearing the same strange smile. Something seems to writhe beneath their pale skin, and their pitch-black eyes are utterly lifeless.

"Sweetheart, where are you going?" they ask in unison.

This is a short story that isn't exactly lighthearted, and it's a little twisted.

His classmates weren't killed by the love interest. They died by accident, and the love interest just made use of their corpses.

The love interest isn't human. He's a monster.

He thinks he's finally achieved the lie-flat life of a carefree slacker, and that all he has to do is wait for the boss to break up with him, then collect a breakup settlement and become financially free. But then, for no apparent reason, his romantic prospects suddenly explode. The dazzling elites he once could never even meet pursue him relentlessly, even competing against each other just to win a smile from him.

For the first time in his life, Lin Yu'an finds himself surrounded by a love triangle and is utterly amazed.

Things to note:

· The protagonist is a college student with a little cleverness, but who's still sweetly naive. He hasn't been fully beaten down by society, has no great ambitions, and doesn't want to work hard. He's a carefree slacker.

· His strength is being easy to convince. His weakness is being easy to convince.

· I haven't decided how it ends. The story is basically about the growing number of admirers around the protagonist and his steadily swelling wallet.

· Best read without thinking too hard, since I didn't think too hard while writing it either.
