[Western Fantasy] A Guide to Sleeping Without Dreams

Sorry, I left this original premise sitting around for too long and completely ran out of inspiration, so I switched to a new one (teary-eyed). If you're not interested, feel free to leave, babies. Kalai transmigrated to a world of magic. He had been an ordinary person before, and in this other world, he was still ordinary. Though he was passionate about magic, the body of knowledge was completely different from what he had known in his previous life, so he made little progress in his studies. Worst of all, the nobles monopolized knowledge and enslaved commoners, and he hadn't been lucky enough to be born into nobility. After finally getting into a school of magic, Kalai felt hopeless as his classes grew harder and his classmates treated him with hostility. Just before he gave up all hope for the future, he had a dream. In it, the professor, a top-ranking noble who was usually cold and sharp-tongued and looked down on everyone, knelt before him, lifted his face, and said as if granting him a favor: "Slap me." Kalai woke up in a fright. Later, he learned that his dreams connected to the deepest parts of these people's minds. What he saw was their innermost desire. The professor sneered. "You've shamelessly learned my secret. You can use it to make me do anything, but remember, sooner or later, I'll make you suffer the punishment you deserve." Kalai: "Could you tutor me one-on-one after class? I didn't understand today's ancient literature lesson again qwq." The professor gritted his teeth. "You don't even know how to humiliate someone?" The professor: "One slap per lesson, or no deal." Kalai didn't understand, but he was deeply shaken. Although the blurb only mentions the professor, he is not the main love interest. The pairing is the protagonist with everyone. The protagonist is a pretty, delicate-looking young man. This is a story about an ordinary person gradually growing stronger and ultimately changing the world. Theme: Only by keeping your heart turned toward the light can you find a better future
