[Western Crossover] Arkham Survival Diary

At my final meeting with Dr. Harlin, the psychologist asked me, "Can you still hear their voices?"

I looked at her face and fell silent for a moment. Then I said, "They're always here, Doctor."

"We were in the same car accident. They've always been by my side, Doctor. I'm from another world, and this world is just a Dustlight game. I was forced to become the heroine. I've told you that so many times, Doctor. But you never believe me. You only believe that..."

I thought about how to put it, then, with my friend's help, chose a form of address that couldn't be wrong. "You only believe your Mr. J."

"Doctor," I kindly advised her, "spend money on a man and you'll be unlucky for half your life. Feel sorry for a man and you'll be unlucky for three lifetimes. The wise don't fall in love..."

It was no use. Before long, that weirdo with the two-tone ponytails became my cellmate anyway.

I told my friend, "See? Love-struck idiots never end well."

At the time, my friend was leaning against the bulletproof glass, watching the chaos outside and cheering someone on. I was lying in bed, a soft, spacious bed occupied by several lazy college students.

An alarm sounded. The red lights above the doors of all the cells turned green, and a strange shriek rang out. The glass doors opened with a bang.

Ah, looks like it's another mass breakout party at Arkham. I hope that guard I really like survives their festivities this time. Amen.

My friend helped me close the door. I went over to watch the commotion and happened to see Nightwing passing by. I pointed him in the right direction, then went back to sleep.

"She doesn't look dangerous at all. Why is she in Arkham?"

"Bai Xixi suffers from a severe case of schizophrenia. She always thinks her friends are with her. She believes this world is fictional, and that one day she'll be able to return to what she calls her 'original world.'"

"Her friends really do exist, but she killed every one of them."
