[Western Crossover] A Cultivator's Diary of Observations in Gotham

Chen Qingli, acting squad leader of the First Team of the Supernatural Affairs Division at the Huaguo Bureau for the Development of Supernatural Affairs, finally snapped on the hundredth day since her original squad leader ran away, which was also the ninety-ninth day of her working overtime every day.

Chen Qingli: "Even workaholics shouldn't be exploited like this!"

She came to Gotham alone, carrying the hopes of the entire team for a vacation. She was determined to drag back the guy who was still pretending to be sick in the hospital.

Then, in the hospital room, her beloved senior female disciple sent her a message: You're Bruce Wayne's daughter.

Chen Qingli: ?

In the car, Chen Qingli and Bruce Wayne sat in the back, one on the left and one on the right.

Chen Qingli was quiet for a long time. Hugging her wooden guitar case, she spoke slowly in a perfectly standard English accent. "I got a stable government job (I beat the other talisman cultivators in the written exam and the other sword cultivators in the martial exam). My hours are regular (I have to go out and fight every day anyway). My benefits are comprehensive and my pension is generous (why would an immortal cultivator need to retire?). You don't need to feel like you owe me anything."

Bruce Wayne remembered the terrifying look on Chen Qingli's face as she held a gleaming sword against the man struggling in the hospital bed. He fell into a strange silence.

Had her mother brainwashed his daughter into cultivating the Heartless Path too?

Did she really just break a vampire's fangs in one clean move?

Oh, this sister looks so delicate and frail

Who is this superhuman who can still stand after fighting a monster and getting struck by seven bolts of lightning?

Chen Qingli: .
