This shop had been passed down for who knew how many generations. Shen Guzhi felt that it was only after it came into his hands that it finally stopped losing money.
The previous owner brought him here, saying he had to go downstairs for a while and would finish handing things over when he got back.
Where was downstairs? Shen Guzhi had no idea. The man never came back.
The shop became Shen Guzhi's, and the things inside began acting up.
That night, every paper doll grinned at him and waved.
The candles and lanterns on the altar flew up and circled him.
Coffins of every size gave off eerie noises.
Shen Guzhi glowered. "You think you can scare me? I'll beat the hell out of you!"

Later, Shen Guzhi looked at the paper dolls helping make funeral wreaths, his expression complicated. "So you were welcoming me that night?"
The paper dolls nodded mournfully, still busy with their work.
Before long, a customer with a deathly pale face came into the shop, looking as if he were about to die.
Shen Guzhi looked him over. "Funeral wreaths, burial clothes, urns. We've got it all. Take your pick."
The customer glanced around and sighed. "The gates of the underworld are about to open. Come with me."
Shen Guzhi: "..." What the hell was this guy talking about? Was he asking to die?
The atmosphere instantly turned hostile.
The paper dolls behind them all shook their heads. That little punk had turned the Spirit Ferry Shop into a funeral wreath store. No wonder even the Founding Master's coffin lid couldn't stay shut.
