[The Legend of Qin] Flowers and Swords

In an era that was never hers, Xinyi had never dared hope anyone would save her. The humiliations and sorrows of her life were the source of her courage. Even when she was hurt or scolded, all she could do was crouch wearily outside her home and let her tears fall straight into the dirt. If Tianming asked about them in the morning, she would hurriedly wipe her face and smile as she gathered the child into her arms, saying they were only sweat.

She thought that even if no one was kind to her, even if no one saved her, she could still endure all this suffering.

Until she met Gai Nie. He pulled her from the deep mire she was drowning in and told her she would never have to go back into the water again.

She was saved.

From then on, she was willing to accept a world that had never accepted her.

That beautiful, gentle, strong, passionate woman was like a purple magnolia, drifting down from the tree and passing through the swordsman's heart.

She fell into his arms, resting softly against Yuanhong.

Reader's Guide:

* Gai Nie BG, original female lead. In short, it's a story about a young widow and a man who takes on a maternal role.

* A bit of writing to get back into practice. OOC, just messing around.

* Tianming was taken in and raised by the female lead as a child. He's a clingy, considerate, filial little Ming.
