The CEO Wants to Be My Dog

The CEO married a man.

He was at the very top of the pyramid, while the other man was not only homeless but deaf in one ear.

Their enormous difference in status led everyone to conclude that it had to be a marriage of convenience.

In the early days of the marriage, the butler assumed the CEO stayed away night after night because he despised his new spouse.

Then one night, he saw the CEO tiptoe into the bedroom and steal a kiss from his beloved's face.

The servants all said the penniless spouse was surely worth less than the CEO's dog.

Then one day, the butler found the spouse fast asleep in bed with the dog in his arms, while his own CEO had been kicked out and left clutching a pillow.

The CEO gave his spouse everything he asked for, doing all he could to give him everything he had never had.

Just as everyone was starting to believe they were truly in love, the spouse coldly tossed out a divorce agreement. It had only one condition: the dog would go with him.

The CEO, who never let his emotions show, went red-eyed. The butler thought he couldn't bear to part with the dog.

But he was stunned to see the CEO kneel before his spouse and kiss the back of his hand reverently.
