The Tide Rises (Sheng Xijing's Story)

That day, Sheng Xijing went to the report center to coordinate work with the colleague on duty.

A man and a woman came in to file a report. They seemed to be in the early, flirtatious stages of a relationship, still making excuses just to hold hands.

Man: “Why are your hands so soft?”

Woman: “Because I had an illness when I was little.”

Man: “What illness?”

Woman: “You've definitely heard of it. It's a common condition.”

Man: “Polio?”

Woman: “Princess syndrome.”

Even the officers on duty laughed when they heard that.

Sheng Xijing went to the restroom. When he came out, he saw the woman washing her hands.

He walked over to the sink beside her and turned on the tap. In an even voice, he said, “Are you using the things we said to flirt with other men?”

When a police officer dies in the line of duty, his badge number is retired. The only way to reactivate it is to pass it on through the bloodline of a fallen hero.

This is the big brother's story. Saving the idea for later.
