Ji Fengchang found a filthy little stray at his front door. The poor thing was grimy and pitiful, and even washed his hands with great care, nervously watching Ji Fengchang's face. It made Ji Fengchang's heart ache, and on impulse, he took the little stray in.

Once cleaned up, the dirty stray turned into a little cream cake. The cake said his name was Nan Xinghui.

Ji Fengchang had thought he was a sweet, innocent little thing. Who knew he had a rose liqueur filling inside? He was young, but already knew how to tempt people. Not long after being taken in, he shyly asked whether Ji Fengchang was in need of a pretty wife, so he could have a perfectly good reason to stay.

Ji Fengchang, an older man who had been celibate for years, had never encountered anything like this. Bewitched and muddled, he blurted out, "I am."

But once he had a legitimate place in the household, Nan Xinghui immediately reverted to his true nature: clingy, picky about food, always sleeping in... He had a whole host of bad habits. Ji Fengchang was so mad he wanted to take him to the police station.

No more! I'm done raising him! A pretty wife like that is too much for an ordinary man like me!

The moment Ji Fengchang said he was done, Nan Xinghui burst into tears. He looked utterly miserable, wiping his eyes as he accused Ji Fengchang of seducing him and then abandoning him, and promised between sobs that he would never be petulant again.

Seeing Nan Xinghui cry and give in, Ji Fengchang immediately felt awful. He mentally slapped himself over and over, while hurriedly coaxing him aloud: "All right, all right, I'll keep you, I'll keep you. As long as you don't cry, I'll take care of you for the rest of my life."

And just like that, as he kept taking care of him, he ended up with a spoiled little darling.

Nan Xinghui had a secret: he could have children.

But he didn't want to bear children for those fat, bald old men, so he did everything he could to escape his shackles. In the end, on a winter night, he was found by a bearded man named Ji Fengchang.

Ji Fengchang was an older man with a fierce-looking face. He spoke bluntly, and never nicely, lived a rough life, and had no money. He constantly complained that Nan Xinghui was spoiled and troublesome, yet never hesitated to make sure every aspect of his life, from food and clothes to travel and lodging, was arranged as comfortably as possible.

As Nan Xinghui's life grew sweeter and more comfortable, he suddenly thought that if Ji Fengchang were the other father of his child, that might not be so bad.

After all, Ji Fengchang was the first man he had ever met who gave him a home.
