My Brooding Childhood Friend Loves Me So Much [Reborn]

In his previous life, Su Mufeng had little to do with Xie You. He had only heard that Xie You was unloved by his father and grandmother, a jinx who had supposedly caused his biological parents' deaths.

He was also an oddball who liked men.

But Xie You, whom everyone called heartless and unfeeling, went against the flow during an earthquake just to save Su Mufeng's life.

They had never even exchanged a word, yet Xie You died protecting him.

Before Su Mufeng closed his eyes, all he could hear in his mind was Xie You's trembling, restrained voice: "Don't cry. I want you to live well."

In an instant, Su Mufeng was reborn and returned to the age of five.

He had no memories of his past life. He only knew instinctively that he had to be good to someone, and that person's name was Xie You.

No matter who badmouthed Xie You, Su Mufeng would cover his ears and shake his head. "I won't listen, I won't listen. Xie You is the best!"

Xie You really was good to him:

When they were little: He coaxed him into drinking milk, carried his schoolbag, and stood in front of him when bullies picked on him.

As he got older: He massaged him when growing pains struck, took him to get glasses, and saved up to buy him the novels he liked.

When they were older still: He taught him how to turn down admirers, how to kiss, and finally how to fall in love...

#My lifesaver was first my childhood friend, then my husband#

Before he met little Su Mufeng, little Xie You was a fierce wolf cub who loved to fight.

After he met little Su Mufeng, he couldn't even bring himself to fight properly anymore. His mind was full of thoughts like: Mufeng is amazing. He ate a whole bowl of rice this morning, a full one!

When Su Mufeng was in school, Xie You thought: Mufeng is amazing. He came first again. He's a natural at studying.

After Su Mufeng became an adult, Xie You thought: Mufeng is amazing. He's definitely boyfriend material!

Su Mufeng: ...?

Xie You had always kept someone in his heart.

When that person held a celebration for getting into university, Xie You declined the invitation. He was a jinx, destined to bring misfortune to others.

When the firecrackers celebrating the occasion went off, Xie You regretted it. He put on his finest clothes and stood downstairs from Su Mufeng's home.

Through the window, Xie You saw his eyes.

When the earthquake struck, Xie You ran against the panicked crowd fleeing the scene. He rushed toward Su Mufeng and held him close, protecting him at all costs.

As blinding pain and darkness overwhelmed him, Xie You thought: It's nice. He's in my arms when I die.

#The early chapters follow the little one's daily life as he grows up. Later, his childhood friend and he fall in love. A gentle, gradual romance.#
