Nioh Between Black and White

Nioh-kun, male, owner of a System, is currently having a wonderful time traveling between worlds. As a System tester, running into glitches is only to be expected. The problem is that a glitch not only stranded him in a story where a little detective bravely storms a distillery to fight crime and purge evil, but also brought along his serious and earnest (stubbornly by-the-book) junior high tennis club vice-captain. Nioh: If this is a detective manga, why wasn't my beloved partner the one who came along? To return to their original world, they have to bring this manga, which has been serialized in the real world for twenty years without ending, to a conclusion. And according to Shogakukan's healthy values, good is sure to triumph over evil. System: You and your teammate must join opposite sides, one red and one black. Nioh: ...Do we even get a choice? There's no way that guy Sanada could join the black side, no matter how you look at it! System: To gather energy and repair the System BUG, you need to complete some main and side quests. Nioh: Tsk. A trickster is free, but Nioh thought that the System belonged to him, so its glitches were his responsibility too. No matter what, he couldn't leave Sanada here like this. He had to go back, back to the world they knew. What is Nioh's motto? Ride a black white horse forward while moving backward. What does that mean? It means that no matter what, deep down he remains true to the self he was at the beginning. No matter how crazy he may seem, there are always things he will never give up. Please note: Sanada becomes a police officer, while Nioh joins the distillery. To achieve the final ending where good triumphs over evil, there will be a change of sides. Everyone who gets rescued is saved because they're needed for a quest or will be useful later. So rescuing the Police Academy group doesn't count as a rescue, and this story won't be about redemption. Nioh is the original Nioh, except he has a System and has visited many worlds since getting it. That's why he knows breathing techniques and swordsmanship, has psychic powers, and has a correspondingly altered mindset. There are no tennis plotlines, but tennis moves that can kill do exist. It's perfectly reasonable for the Detective Conan world to allow superpowered tennis, right? Blurb written on October 4, 2022. Expected to begin publication at 8 a.m. on December 4, 2022.
