I'm Naoki Sanjugo, a literary giant.
At least, I was while I was alive.
After death, I was reincarnated in the Imperial Library as an alchemical creation. I witnessed the Librarian's entire transformation, from cafeteria lady to textile worker, and then the Librarian threw me out the library doors.
I put down the grilled wani in my hand and, under Akutagawa's resentful gaze, sighed: What a beautiful sight, grilling wani in the courtyard.
And so, accompanied by Kan Kikuchi yelling "Pay me back!!!!" and the Shirakaba couple riding their bikes into the water, I got lost in all sorts of strange forbidden books and took my love of running up debts to new heights. I racked up 350 million in debt in one go, then ran off with my little sister-in-law (not really)!
Little (nickname) sister-in-law (famous work): Help!
I have a lot of creditors.
Creditor Number One is the fourth son of a prestigious family. He was sick with depression, timid and withdrawn, and nowhere near as fun as Little Cherry. Years later, when we met again, he had unsurprisingly become mentally ill.
Creditor Number Two is one person, no, five police officers. Apparently they were classmates, too, but after just one short period of dormancy, I never had to pay that debt back.
Creditor Number Three is a military doctor who lost his beloved daughter and comrades. Later, he got mixed up with the underworld and had a love-hate relationship with his fellow student. He's also a disgusting lolicon.
Creditor Number Four is a sleepyhead with red whiskers (?). Just as I finally came to my senses and decided to pay him back, he dropped his sword.
Damn, so does that mean I don't have to pay after all?
Reader's Guide:
1. The protagonist is Naoki from Bungo to Alchemist, the Japanese literary world's number-one debtor.
2. No CP, at least not for the protagonist.
3. I'll add more if I think of anything.
Bonus?
At Lupin Bar, after watching Bungo Stray Dogs Dazai leave, [Edogawa Ranpo] voiced his ultimate question.
"Was it really just because the Librarian got mad?"
Faced with those inquisitive green eyes, Naoki Sanjugo gazed through them at someone from the past.
"Because I angered the wani god by grilling wani in the courtyard, and then wani overran the library." He shrugged. "You could put it that way."
Carrying all the [books] in the Imperial Library with him, he said it casually.
"Of course, if you want to hear it, I can also tell you that the Imperial Library was gone a long time ago."
"We lost the war to defend literature, and lost it utterly."
"Would you believe me?"
