After My White Moonlight Brainwashed Me, They Tried to Kill Me to Prove Their Dao

The calamity of the Sky Rift ended ten years ago.

The last image anyone had of Tantai Yue was of him turning back with an affectionate smile before the abyss of purgatory, his white robes stained with blood. His smile shone like moonlight, brightening the darkened world.

One stunning sword strike, a proud and unyielding spirit, a heart full of compassion.

His Dao companion, Deng Fushui, found only fragments of his broken sword.

Deng Fushui bathed the imperial city in blood, razed the immortal sects, and became the tyrant of the Northern Frontier. He searched every inch of scorched earth, but could not find even a wisp of his beloved's fractured soul.

Ten years later, the armies of the Northern Frontier and the Imperial Capital faced off across a battlefield swept by yellow sand.

Deng Fushui met the strongest enemy of his life. His name was "Long," the most lethal weapon raised by the royal family. He wore an Asura mask, and every move carried a sword intent so familiar it had been carved into Deng Fushui's bones.

For a moment, Deng Fushui froze and let down his guard, until a cold sword pierced his chest.

The mask shattered, revealing the face that had haunted his dreams and made him weep blood day and night.

Tantai Yue no longer remembered him. He looked at Deng Fushui as if he were already dead, turned his wrist, and twisted his sword deeper into his heart. "Anyone who stands in the way of my lord's ambition dies."

Everyone was horrified. They could hardly believe that the once-revered paragon of righteousness had been brainwashed, his memories erased, and turned into the enemy army's killing puppet.

And Deng Fushui, filled with murderous intent as he hovered on the brink of death, felt a genuine joy for the first time in ten years amid the agony.
