Ghost Sword Immortal

The old dynasty was swept by a cataclysmic surge of ghostly energy, turning every duke, marquis, minister, and general into vengeful ghosts and spirits.

From then on, the Three Excellencies became the Three Sorrows, and the Bright Emperor became the Vengeful Emperor, unleashing two hundred years of devastation that left the land in ruins and its people suffering.

Qingming Festival. Misty rain veiled the world.

In the Golden Throne Hall, Xie Wuya stood beside me with his sword in hand, while a vast army gathered behind us.

He had come to this ancient palace, rumored to be protected by a Ghost Sword Immortal, vowing to destroy the vengeful spirits, pacify the realm, and end its turmoil and strife.

I was the companion who had walked beside him since he was unknown, the moonlight he could only gaze upon from afar, and the beloved with whom he had sworn a blood oath to become cultivation partners.

And no one knew that I had come here to pay my respects.

The Three Sorrows of this palace were my late Three Excellencies. The Vengeful Emperor was my father.

I knelt before my father, lowered my eyes, and bowed three times.

The seal of the former crown prince slipped from my snow-white sleeve, black as night, and fell to the ground with a clear, ringing sound.

The army fell silent.

"Xie Wuya," I said, removing my snow-white veil and turning to the young man beside me, whose expression was impossible to read. I smiled faintly. "I'm sorry I deceived you for so long."

The next moment, my long sword left its sheath. Its white gleam flashed like spring water and fresh snow, sharp and cold, as I raised it against him!

"Is the Ghost Sword Immortal you've been searching for... me?"
