Playing an NPC Secret Identity in a Game World

Su Juan is approached by an artificial intelligence System from what it calls the higher world. It tells him that if he plays all the important story NPCs in a full-dive game from that higher world, he can stay alive.

Su Juan agrees. So when the 200 players taking part in the beta enter the game, they see a boy dressed in warm colors stumble along with an armful of firewood. Spotting the players, he gives them a warm, cheerful smile. "Travelers, welcome to Aisen City!"

A devout priest embraces the white-haired girl. Tears glisten in his green eyes. "Lanna, go to sleep. After tonight, it will all be over."

A green-haired elf lies sprawled beneath the World Tree. Its exposed roots absorb his glowing blood, and the desolate world blooms back to life.

The cheerful ranger ruffles his orange hair and laughs as he charges toward the battlefield against the Demon King. "Heroes, don't let the past hold you back!"

In a gloomy, dilapidated mansion, a pale young master dwells on days gone by. A nightingale sings his funeral song, and the boy dies beneath a pile of roses.

The eccentric thief places the key to the past in someone's hand. Even a prestigious family cannot resist the ravages of time, and the boy decides to cast off his surname.

The wandering bard sings legends from every land. Even the almighty God of Light perishes in the battle against darkness. No longer able to wield a sword, the young man turns to the harp.

A noble knight turns his blade on himself to stop the spread of darkness. The darkness beneath his bright childhood never corrupted him, yet he must bear the consequences of others' evil deeds.

A black-haired young man pulls up his hood and chats amiably with the boy from Aisen City. When the players break into the final boss's domain, they all fall silent at the familiar face.

"Welcome to my domain, travelers. Give my regards to Ge Yi."

"This place holds my past, my future, my memories, and my death."

Content notes:

1. No outline. I'm writing however I feel like.

2. Since the secret identities have scenes together and there are fake couple storylines, this is tagged as danmei, but there won't actually be a couple. There is a beloved friend who is the protagonist's first love.

3. The secret identities include men and women. The fake couples will probably cover various orientations, and players may or may not be involved.

4. The author's tastes are strange, so there may be some pervy comments.

5. Readers' comments give me motivation. The more, the better!

6. My writing and plot control are both terrible. I mainly write for my own enjoyment.

7. I don't accept abusive writing advice. I don't like people who press the Enter key.

Theme: People should love themselves and sing for the sake of life.
