Hiding the Light

A powerful figure booked out the whole venue to look for someone.

The people beneath him held their breath and quickly spread out, looking ready to turn the bar upside down.

At the corner of the fire escape, two shadows overlapped. Yan Yi exhaled smoke, her breath mingling with the man in front of her. As the hurried, overlapping footsteps outside drew near, she curled her lips and tugged his collar. “You're finished.”

The man casually stroked the back of her neck, pressing her firmly toward him with his palm.

The taste of tobacco mingled with their lips and tongues.

A little sweeter than before.
