After Lying Flat, I Became the Vanguard Against Overwork

In today's fiercely competitive climate, Xun Bai, a lazy fish who had lost his dreams and planned to lie flat, was suddenly bound to a System. The little System was full of energy and started spouting motivational slogans.

"The Life-Striving System! Dedicated to helping its Host carve out a bright future with their own diligent hands!"

For every ten hours spent studying with complete focus, randomly awaken one buff. Every skill is displayed as data, and its level can be raised endlessly by accumulating proficiency.

Xun Bai carefully read every user agreement. Faced with the System's earnest enticements, he remained unmoved, opened the lottery section, and decisively began his anti-competition journey.

Using his sudden flash of inspiration to exploit a bug, he won countless Systems in the lottery, such as the Daily Sign-In System, the Strongest Sword Saint System, the Role-Playing System, the Villain Boss System...

From then on, quest progress never budged, the shop panel languished in obscurity, and all he had were endless Systems falling into the abyss, along with free lottery draws and newbie gift packs he could never use up.

Many years later, after being interviewed by the media about his success, Xun Bai, who had become the Alliance's acknowledged strongest at a young age, pushed up his sunglasses and earnestly lectured the viewers on camera:

"Life is one giant amusement park. Everyone is either lying flat or on the road to being able to lie flat. Once you grasp the true meaning of lying flat, even if your body is suffering tremendous pain, you'll still feel content in your heart."

The Systems trapped in Xun Bai's clutches forever, unable to turn things around: ...A Bai, stop slacking off! I just want you to complete one quest yourself. No, please, at least do a sign-in, okay?

Yes, no matter how harsh the overall climate became, Xun Bai remained a steadfast anti-competition warrior.

For the Systems he owned, life after meeting Xun Bai was like a Chinese saying:

Delivering packages beneath Big Ben...

Xun Bai lies flat, and they get screwed.

*Lying flat here specifically means giving up and letting things slide. Getting screwed here means being done for.
