The First Emperor's Journey Is to the Stars and Seas!

Please read the blurb before starting. This story contains magic and Western characters. If that bothers you, please don't read.

247 BC

On the day King Zheng of Qin ascended the throne, an extraordinary omen appeared in the sky. In broad daylight, the reflections of several enormous planets hung overhead.

The people were terrified. They knelt and kowtowed, begging the immortals for forgiveness. The ministers feared that choosing Zheng as king would anger Heaven. They argued for three days, intent on stripping him of his throne.

King Zheng: If Heaven means to punish me, then I will fight Heaven to the bitter end!

Recently, the full-dive game The First Emperor's Campaign has taken the world by storm. In this technological world of the twenty-first century, people are experiencing for the first time the full-dive games they had only ever imagined. They are thrilled, clamoring to see if it's really as good as they say.

Here, the young First Emperor has just ascended the throne. The six kingdoms are still at war, the various schools of thought are flourishing, and the impoverished people are desperately hungry. But several fantastical celestial bodies also hang reflected above their heads.

Those are civilizations on the brink of collapse, invaders preparing to attack the backward Warring States!

Some can wield dazzling magic, some pilot mechs and warships, some fly on swords, some carry zombie viruses, and some command monsters and jiangshi...

This complete, backward world has attracted the attention of shattered planets around it, all eager to invade. The players summoned there are tiny, only twenty centimeters tall. They look at their little arms and legs and their frail, delicate bodies, then at the trusting gaze of the young First Emperor, the default leader of their only faction.

They grit their teeth. Let's do this! For the First Emperor! For our Imperial Father!!!

Later, the six kingdoms fall, and the First Emperor unifies the realm ahead of schedule.

The diehards of the six kingdoms, unable to accept defeat, question the players, now high-ranking ministers: Why did you choose the King of Qin? What's wrong with our six kingdoms? You were so eager to become his dogs, working yourselves to the bone to win him the realm. But look at him now! Has he given you any extra rewards?

The players smile sheepishly. Huh? You could tell?

The First Emperor: ?

The diehards of the six kingdoms: ?

The players: I want to be Imperial Father's dog! And his child, too! I don't just want to call him Your Majesty, I want to call him my darling, my precious, my wife! Hehehe (?﹃??)

The First Emperor: ???

The diehards of the six kingdoms: The King of Qin truly is a demon! He can bewitch people's hearts like this!

The First Emperor: ...

Warnings:

1. The First Emperor is the absolute best, and the players love him more than anyone!!!

2. This story came from a dream I had. I just want to see the First Emperor unify the six kingdoms, conquer the whole world, and take over the entire universe while he's at it!

3. If you're a history purist, please don't read. This is a novel, not a historical source. I'm not a professional historian, let alone an archaeologist. Please don't use a novel as historical evidence. Let's spare each other the misery. Thank you.

4. The author is a First Emperor fan. The First Emperor is the most charming. If that's not your thing, please don't read.

Theme: Technology is the foremost driver of development!
