Ultra-cautious spy for the Five Kingdoms, the bottom, plus brilliant, peerless sickly top = If you've got what it takes, let's settle this with physical strength.
(King of Wuxu: You can't beat me at that, either.)
My name is Wuxiang. I'm an assassin.
Originally, I was a model young man living in the 21st century who believed in science. Then, for no apparent reason, I ended up in the unfamiliar era of the Five Kingdoms, a time of division. My companions say I'm skilled in lightness techniques, swordsmanship, disguises, throwing hidden weapons, brewing tea, cooking, and staying up all night embroidering the human body, commonly known as the art of bedroom games.
Funny thing is, so am I.
I can do parkour, perform tai chi sword routines, put on face masks, take out the trash, make instant noodles, and stay up all night on my phone, commonly known as the essential skills of a modern-day lie-flat youth.
The world is in chaos, and the times are calling for brave young people. So my lord, the cunning and treacherous king of Wei, sent me to Wuxu as a spy to gather intelligence.
First year undercover
Me: My lord, this king is sickly and on the verge of death, and the country is in chaos. When are we going to invade and take Wuxu?
King of Wei: No rush, no rush. Find a way to infiltrate their inner circle.
Second year undercover
Me: My lord, I've been promoted yet again. Here's the Wuxu border defense map. When are you going to invade and bring me home to make me a high-ranking official?
King of Wei: No rush, no rush. Become the King of Wuxu's confidant as soon as possible, and gather plenty of important intelligence.
Third year undercover
Me: My lord, if you don't invade soon, I'm going to become the queen...
King of Wei: No rush, no rush. Whisper in his ear and persuade the King of Wuxu to defect and submit to Wei.
Fifth year undercover
King of Wei: Wuxu's troops have reached the capital! Why didn't you send the intelligence sooner? Find a way to assassinate the King of Wuxu!
Me: I roasted the carrier pigeon. It was pretty tasty. What were you saying...? Oh, carrier pigeons from the other kingdoms have flown in too. We can make a group portrait.
Every country on the continent wants to unite the realm, making the spy business fiercely competitive. I'm just an unremarkable wage slave, but somehow I ended up working five jobs at once.
I'm ashamed, I'm ashamed. The one at home has a rather pale complexion and loves coughing up blood.
One day, the King of Wuxu, who gets out of breath after every few steps, slaps a secret letter down in front of me. "Why are you so closely connected with the kings of the other four kingdoms?"
Isn't that obvious? "I'm a bit of a philanthropist."
"Tonight, I'll teach you what 'philanthropy' really means," the king says with a smile that conceals a knife.
"No, Your Majesty, let me make excuses. I mean, let me explain..."
