[The author has evolved into a corporate drone... I have 60,000 words saved up already. I’ll start posting once I have enough for daily updates.]
A plug for my upcoming story, After Transmigrating into a Book, My Dark Side Came True.
Blurb
At some point, Mu Jia began to dream.
In boundless darkness, the enormous vertical pupil of an indescribable being stared at him. Ghostly stars sang for him. He lost himself in the phantom dream, listening to loving whispers from the void.
Thrilling.
Exciting.
Shuddering.
When he woke, his body covered in rose-colored bruises, he was just an ordinary university student studying archaeology. His alma mater was Miskatonic University, and he was about to set off for a lost ruin.
Yet his belly began to swell strangely, day by day.
Doctor: “Congratulations, you’re five weeks pregnant.”
Mu Jia: “Huh? Can men get pregnant too?”
Well, since the baby in his belly was so well-behaved and already calling him Mommy, he decided to raise it as a single father, while enjoying life as an investigator and writing his thesis.
But before long, the baby’s father came knocking, saying he wanted to take responsibility for him.
The white-haired, golden-eyed evil god said, “My queen, my bride, make a pact with me and bear my child. I will share with you eternal life and glory.”
Mu Jia said excitedly, “So, darling, can I touch the tip of your tail, your huge wings, your fangs, and all your shiny scales?”
The evil god, who had been ready to forcefully take him as his own: “???”
“Can I? Can I?”
In the end, he let him touch them.
Later, the evil god, watching his wife rest his head on his tail, touch his scales with one hand and his wings with the other, and still remember to kiss him, fell silent.
Top: “…”
Something about this just feels off.
Reader’s guide
1. Male pregnancy, male pregnancy, male pregnancy. The important thing bears repeating three times.
2. The protagonist has an unusual thought process and a thing for nonhuman beings.
3. It has Lovecraftian elements, but isn’t genuinely Lovecraftian.
Upcoming story
After Transmigrating into a Book, My Dark Side Came True
Yu Lan is a moderately famous screenwriter.
He’s known in the industry for his sharp prose and cool, detached style.
Though his looks are exceptionally gorgeous, so exquisite they’re hard to describe, he rarely speaks and has a cold personality, like a bionic person from some futuristic fantasy.
One day, Yu Lan wrote a new work and acted in a role himself: a genius hacker in a dystopian setting.
He takes pleasure in other people’s joys and sorrows, is capricious and neurotic, and has no beliefs whatsoever. He’s a bona fide lunatic.
The character was the polar opposite of Yu Lan’s own personality, but he portrayed him perfectly. People marveled at the performance, unaware that the role Yu Lan played was a reflection of his own desires.
Muddy, scorching, viscous...
Sinful and filthy.
Something he despised, yet couldn’t let go of.
Then he transmigrated into his own book.
At first, he thought he had taken over the character’s identity and erased the character himself. To survive, he temporarily used that identity to interact with various acquaintances.
But when a young man who looked exactly like him, yet was his complete opposite, came smiling to his door,
Yu Lan finally understood: they coexisted. He and the embodiment of his filthy desires both lived in this world, sharing the same land and breathing the same air...
“What are you thinking about?”
Every touch made Yu Lan shudder with revulsion. He glared at the other man and tried to pry his hand off.
The other man chuckled softly, holding him tight and suppressing all resistance. Like desire made flesh, he pressed his lips to Yu Lan’s neck. “My creator, is my identity useful to you?”
“If it is, keep using it. As long as you’re willing to pay, hm?”
Reader’s guide:
1. A narcissistic romance.
2. Mild coercion. Either party may force the other. Two lunatics in love, locked in an intense push and pull. Both are extremely possessive, and it’s impossible to say who loves whom more.
3. The bottom despises the top yet is infatuated with him. He wants him dead, yet wants him alive. He has a severe Pygmalion complex and is sexually confused, so he starts out as a deeply closeted man with a twisted mind. The top is just like him.
4. They have a mutual crush. I’m serious.
Theme: Love is like poetry.
