Their friends, who used to stick to Chen Yucheng and call him the school heartthrob every other breath, have recently been too afraid to go near him.

The chill set in when he realized Xin Kui had started avoiding him.

After evening study, a handsome, aloof boy suddenly appeared in the hallway outside Class Ten, Senior Year.

Xin Kui glanced toward the doorway and met Chen Yucheng's unwavering gaze.

The atmosphere had been heating up at the sight of him, but now a chill ran down her back.

The basketball team sure can run fast, but he still caught up with her.

Chen Yucheng cornered Xin Kui behind the teaching building and asked her why.

Only then did he learn that Xin Kui had seen another girl confess to him.

He was annoyed. He'd rejected the other girl, but he hadn't rejected Xin Kui.

"Then why are you avoiding me?"

Pressed against the wall, she said, "You were so cold to that girl..."

He replied coolly, "I'm not like that with you."

She looked up at him. He had never been harsh with her, and he was anything but cold. He had always treated her so well.

That was exactly why she had to avoid him.

She thought she might have fallen for Chen Yucheng.

Everyone thought Xin Kui was sweet-tempered, cute, and as sweet as soft candy.

Only Chen Yucheng knew that when it came to him, that girl's heart was harder than a diamond.
