Welcome to the Distillery of Cutthroat Competition

[A spin-off of He Always Snatches the Lunchbox First, also known as The Kogaku Hunting Game, bonus chapters posted whenever inspiration strikes]

The Kogaku Love Story: A Symphony in Red and Black is a little different from what the players expected.

Mochizuki Ryoya, 24, male, SIT sniper, known on the game forums as "the Black-Side Players' Ripper." Nine and a half out of ten Black-side players have had their heads blown off by him. After countless restarts, he finally broke down and quit the game. He tied for first place this year among NPCs players voted to delete.

The other NPC tied for first place is just as intriguing.

Margaret cocktail, age unknown, female, the leading figure in the Black Organization's intelligence operations in Tokyo, and a hurdle Red-side players must overcome to unlock a hidden achievement. As long as she's around, you'll never be able to complete the legendary undercover mission.

Their respective fans and haters have battled it out every year, ending in a draw each time. To this day, neither side has managed to get the other removed from the game.

How tragic, how lamentable!

[Temporary blurb, to be revised]

* A bonus chapter set in the spin-off world of Lunchbox, where the low-dimensional world of the original fanfic has become a game world that high-dimensional beings can transmigrate into.

* The Mochizuki Ryoya in this story is data extracted after his memories were fully restored.

* Unfriendly to the Fourth Calamity. This world is a hunting ground for players.

Theme: We don't need all this cutthroat competition!
