When Ranpo Stumbles Into the World of Detective Conan

[I can't continue writing because I've run out of inspiration. I'm asking to unlock the chapters. If I get inspired again, I'll finish the story. I'm sorry. This really is my fault, and I'm not making excuses. I'm sorry to all you lovely readers for liking my work.]

Ranpo is unexpectedly pulled into a game and appears at the scene of a murder, becoming the surviving victim.

The System tells him he has to win over an NPC to leave this place.

There are no supernatural abilities here, and the rules of the red and black factions are absolute.

For Ranpo, that's good news. Through observation, he identifies his target and sets out to win him over.

Thanks to his efforts, the target's affection rating successfully drops to zero.

The great detective, clueless about romance and conquest games, flies into a rage.

Whoever wants to win him over can go ahead and do it!

So he follows his own ideas, builds a power of his own, overthrows the black faction, and becomes the head of the underworld.

He even turns the black faction's ace, TOP, and brings him into his own little circle of people to protect.

Then one day, the System interface suddenly changes:

[System check: target successfully won over]

[Target gin trust rating (affection rating): 100]

[Congratulations, you have succeeded.]

As he strolls along the shore hand in hand with the silver-haired man, Ranpo smiles.

"As I thought, this counts as winning him over, too."

"Actually, I knew it all along."

[Reading Guide]

1. An alternate-universe setting. Ranpo's personality is my take on an alternate-universe Gray Ranpo: a little devious, chaotic good.

2. An unconventional mentor-and-student trope, with a big cat raising a little cat. One-on-one romance.

3. Ranpo is not an undercover agent. Winning someone over does not mean romance; affection ratings include trust, friendship, and more.

4. The distillery boss's appearance has been changed to black hair and red eyes.

5. The distillery will fall. GIN and Ranpo build their own power and stand on their own.

6. There is a chatroom for literary figures from other worlds! It is not a forum!

7. You'll see the leader Dazai "talking like brothers" with Hisoka, Oda Sakunosuke becoming a sorcerer and raising two kids, and Chuya joining the human weapons in tearing down the Vongola headquarters. [These are from the chatroom worlds and only appear during chats; they don't take up much of the story.]
