With a smug lift of his brows, he said, "If it doesn't work, then what are you trying to do now?"

"Are you trying to kiss me?

He also believed he would never be like the others, humbly begging a male insect for love.

But later, even though he saw through Lorian's deceit, just smelling his scent was enough to make him lose control. He wanted the other man's attention, his smile, even his kisses.

So he did everything he could to keep him by his side.

Until the Empire came to take Lorian away. Elius suddenly went mad.

He tore up their agreement. Though he was covered in blood and trampled underfoot, utterly humiliated, he still clung desperately to the hem of the other's clothes.

He stared at the male insect, his eyes sinister yet pleading. "You can't leave."
