Cultivating Immortality in a World of Magic [Virtual Reality]

The moment Meng Weiyu opened his eyes, he had become the notorious good-for-nothing wastrel of the Meng family.

The little wastrel couldn't be bothered to lift a finger and knew nothing about farming. He also liked bullying men and women, and had been a famous bully in Jinchuan since childhood. He was hated by people of every age.

First, his parents died. Then his relatives kicked him out, and he squandered the family fortune, nearly starving to death in his rental apartment.

To avoid starving, he decided to find a job and fill his stomach. But the little wastrel had offended too many people, and every one of them was determined to make his life difficult.

Just as Meng Weiyu was at the end of his rope, Jianxian, a game that had been offline for decades, made a sensational return. It had even replaced its keyboard-based controls with a brand-new full-immersion system.

Meng Weiyu: Is this the Jianxian I used to play?

He dug out the full-immersion connector that had been tossed away as junk. After logging in, a real second world appeared before his eyes.

The new Jianxian won widespread acclaim for its rich gameplay, polished combat system, and realistic, grand-scale maps.

In the game, there were wizards who flew on broomsticks, knights clad in armor, heroes who could tame dragons, and mages who could communicate with the elements...

Meng Weiyu stared at the screen, slowly going blank. Jianxian... wasn't it an ancient-style game?

He found a backwater sect with only a handful of registered members, then took up his sword and stepped into this game world, at once familiar and full of strange creatures.

He was determined to give everyone who had forgotten what Jianxian truly was a little taste of Chinese-style shock.

How do you stand out with cold weapons in a world of magic?

Meng Weiyu: Obviously, you cultivate immortality.
