Yan Yu is an unlucky soul trapped inside a Meow Beast. In a daze, he latches onto a sword cultivator, only to discover that the man has no heart. He vows to conquer this hateful two-legged creature! So he cuddles up and acts cute, watching the sword cultivator gradually change. Convinced he has won the man over, he struts around every day with his little head held high, meowing smugly.
When the sword cultivator is framed and hunted down, Yan Yu, the Meow Beast, has no idea what comes over him. He actually drains all his spiritual power to save the man.
"Two-legged creature, remember this: I was the one who saved you!"
When he opens his eyes again, Yan Yu finds himself back in his original body. He is still the young lord of the Nine Heavens Immortal Mountain! He only remembers having a dream, but has forgotten every detail.
Chong Jiutian is a heartless sword cultivator who rejects anyone who tries to get close, until one day a Meow Beast cub latches onto him. At first, he plans to hand it off to someone else, but an unexpected turn of events forces him to put that plan on hold. Later, when the Meow Beast accidentally saves him, he simply keeps the little kitten by his side. He indulges its silly antics, feeds it precious treasures, and wonders what it will look like once it takes human form.
Sadly, the little kitten drains all its spiritual power to save him before he ever gets to see it transform. All he gets is a smooth, round jade bead.
Chong Jiutian raises his sword against his former sect and slaughters every evildoer. "Everyone who hurt it will pay the price." That includes himself. So Chong Jiutian destroys his own spiritual roots, falls into demonic cultivation, and becomes the Demon Lord Chong Chi.
During the war between gods and demons, the Demon Lord uncovers Heaven's plot and joins forces with the leader of the immortal clan. In the end, Yan Qingmo dies and his soul dissipates, while Chong Chi's soul is unexpectedly trapped in the Void of Chaos. A thousand years pass in the blink of an eye.
When the Demon Lord Chong Chi awakens, the demons in the depths of the Abyss Valley and the Dark Realm erupt into celebration. After a thousand years of oppression, they eagerly await their lord leading them to attack the Nine Heavens Immortal Mountain. Instead, the Demon Lord only brings back the young lord of the immortal clan, bound up.
The demons say, "Holding the young lord hostage to command the immortals, what a brilliant move, my lord." But they wait and wait, and their lord makes no move at all.
At last, unable to wait any longer, the demons summon their courage and go to sound out their lord. There, they see the young lord of the immortal clan, who should have been enduring all manner of torture, lounging comfortably with his head on their lord's lap. He enjoys a massage from the Demon Lord while being fed all kinds of precious treasures.
The demons: ?
It turns out his little kitten is this beautiful after taking human form. So beautiful that nothing else in the world compares.
This story uses a non-linear narrative. The protagonist turns into a Meow Beast around Chapter 11.
Yan Yu is always the Demon Lord's Meow Beast. The Meow Beast comes first, and the young lord of the immortal clan comes later. Returning to the Meow Beast's body is Yan Yu's dream, where he remembers everything. Although he merges with half of Yan Qingmo's immortal spirit, it only serves to restore Yan Yu's spiritual energy.
So there is no melodramatic grudge between Yan Yu and Chong Chi.
A soft and adorable young lord who can be both a kitten and a person, paired with an obsessive Demon Lord who initially treats the Meow Beast as a plaything to pass the time, but later is overcome with desire and has an overwhelming possessive streak.
Upcoming novel: My Rival Became My Son's Dad
Synopsis: Jiang Lan is accosted on his way home from work.
A tiny four-year-old clings to him and calls him Daddy.
The child cries whenever Jiang Lan tries to pull away, and refuses to answer questions, so Jiang Lan has no choice but to take him home.
For one reason or another, Jiang Lan can't find a way to send the little one away.
Just as Jiang Lan gets used to life with the child, his sworn rival suddenly shows up at his door.
Jiang Lan bristles like an angry cat and glares at him.
"Lu Chengyi! How dare you show your face in front of me!"
"Why wouldn't I? I'm here to see my son."
"Who said he's your son?"
Jiang Lan thinks the jerk Lu Chengyi is insulting him.
"Daddy!"
The little boy darts out from behind him, wraps his arms around Lu Chengyi's leg, and sweetly calls him Daddy.
Jiang Lan: He calls me "Daddy" so stiffly, but calls him "Dada" so sweetly.
Lu Chengyi really is his lifelong nemesis!
Jiang Lan tells Lu Chengyi to get lost, but the other man pulls out two paternity tests.
One is for him and the child, and the other is for Jiang Lan and the child. Both results say they are father and son.
Jiang Lan is bewildered.
He stares at Lu Chengyi with a complicated look, feeling utterly world-weary.
So he'd slept with his rival, had him give birth to their kid, and then raised the child alone all this time.
He really is a scumbag!
Jiang Lan guiltily avoids Lu Chengyi's eyes and stammers, "I... I'll take responsibility for you."
From then on, Jiang Lan tries his best to be a good dad and husband, until one day...
"Lu Chengyi, you bastard!"
After being thoroughly ravished, Jiang Lan is so worked up that his head aches. Then a memory suddenly surfaces in his mind.
Once he has taken it all in, he is completely stunned.
"I was such a fool. I knew Lu Chengyi was a sly fox, but I never thought that sly fox could have his way with me and trick me into having his baby!"
Jiang Lan storms out of the house in a rage.
But the older and younger ones both grab his legs and refuse to let go.
"Daddy, don't you want me anymore?"
"Honey, I was wrong. Don't go!"
