After reading the Conan story where he grows up in London, featuring the Queen of the Grass Court, Minerva Glass, and seeing tennis pop up in Conan now and then, I decided to put a few Prince of Tennis characters in Conan's world. I'd also seen plenty of magic-themed stories, which made me think of Yagyuu. What if Mizuki Hajime had a younger brother named Mizuki Wei? Fuji Shusuke and Niou Masaharu know Conan is a character in a manga, and they have their memories.
Yue You: "Teacher, my dad is too busy. Can I ask Uncle to come instead?"
School announcement: "Would Kuroba Kaito please come to Ekoda Elementary School?"
Kaito and Yue You exchange a quick glance.
Yue You: "If you dare tell Dad, I'll treat you to a whole fish feast."
Kaito: "..."
Mizuki Wei learns about it from the teacher.
Mizuki Wei: "Transfer schools and go to school with Yusuke." Yue You seems pretty afraid of Fuji. It shouldn't be a problem for her to stay at her older brother's house, right?
Why not move there? As if they had that much money to buy a house. If anyone asks, they'll say they want some time alone together.
Yue You: "No way." I don't want to go to school with Yusuke. He's too much like Uncle Fuji, and it's intimidating.
Teacher Kobayashi: "We have a new student joining our class. Let's give him a warm welcome!"
Yusuke: "Hello, everyone. My name is Fuji Yusuke."
Teacher Kobayashi: "Yusuke? Is that all?"
Yusuke: "Yes, that's all."
Conan springs to his feet. Could he be one of them too...?
Teacher Kobayashi: "Conan, is something the matter?"
Conan: "N-no, nothing."
Yusuke arrives at Teitan Elementary School first. Hajime comes later due to a work transfer, and then Yue You. Masaharu doesn't really want Yue You getting too close to Conan.
I originally wanted to write a Mizuki-focused side story set in the Conan timeline, but then I thought it would be weird to start with a side story, so I decided to make it a separate fic instead. The timeline isn't quite the same as Conan's.
