The Prince of Tennis: The Script Wasn't Supposed to Go Like This

Guan Yuechu was on a plane heading to watch Yuta play at Wimbledon when it crashed. He was reborn as a sixth grader, and unfortunately, the events of his previous life were happening all over again.

Random Guy A: "Aren't you pretty tough, huh?" He pointed at the people lying on the ground after getting hit by tennis balls.

When Fuji was reborn, he happened to be delivering something to his older sister, who was studying in Kanagawa. As he passed the tennis court, he spotted a few thugs surrounding Guan Yuechu with knives. "Tsk." They shouldn't have had that much of a grudge between them anymore. His little brother had been trained well in tennis, and his arm was fine, too.

Random Guy B: "Tell me, if we wreck your right hand, will you still be able to play tennis? Will you still be able to help your seaweed-headed little brother get even?"

At those words, Fuji's narrowed eyes snapped open. His sharp, water-blue gaze fixed on the man as he calmly took out his phone and called the police. A yellow ball smacked into the fence around the court, spinning rapidly as friction sent up tiny sparks. The people surrounding Guan Yuechu were so frightened that they all backed away a few steps.

The police arrived soon afterward and chased them away.

Guan Yuechu called after Fuji's back. "Thanks, Fuji." Oh no. They weren't supposed to know each other yet.

Fuji turned around, his water-blue eyes full of confusion. "Do I know you?"

"Haha, who doesn't know the tennis genius Fuji Shusuke?" Guan Yuechu twirled a dangling curl around his left finger, wondering if the genius would buy that flimsy excuse.

"Really? Am I that amazing?" Fuji looked at Guan Yuechu with amusement. He'd been on his way to watch Yuta's match when the plane had crashed. Guan Yuechu had probably been on it too. "I saved you. Is there anything you can do to repay me?"

"Make up with your little brother," Guan Yuechu blurted out. "Would that work?"

Fuji pretended to think it over. "Sure."
