Zhuang Jiu died on the eve of victory.

When she opened her eyes again, she was back before the apocalypse, with a book in her mind. That's when she learned she was just an important plot device, whose main job was to hand over her achievements to the male and female leads.

Given a second chance at life, she was sick of fighting. She took her stockpiled supplies and fled to the mountains, where she planned to live a peaceful, lazy life until the apocalypse was over.

But when the apocalypse began, Zhuang Jiu waited for the violent ability she'd had in her previous life to appear, intending to use it to make a safety barrier against zombies. Instead, she discovered she'd gained plant-based abilities.

Staring silently at the strange plants sprouting in her field, which squeaked and shrieked, Zhuang Jiu thought hesitantly: These...could work as a safety barrier too, right?

In the year 5X23, the apocalypse arrived. In an instant, half the planet fell, and zombies ran rampant everywhere.

All plants and animals evolved, and humans developed special abilities, but they still couldn't resist the zombie invasion. With no other choice, humans established numerous safe zones, hoping to unite and fight the zombies together.

But people inside the safe zones still schemed against one another. Food, water, and supplies kept dwindling, while zombies gradually devoured their territory. Everyone lived in constant terror.

Just as everyone was panicking, a gigantic base was discovered deep in a mountain range. It was home to the people who had once been driven away, yet it boasted advanced technology and abundant supplies, rivaling the Alliance from before the apocalypse.

No, it was even more impressive than the Alliance.

The leaders of the safe zones coveted the base and tried to seize it, threatening it and using force, but failed repeatedly and suffered heavy losses. At last, they understood one simple truth: they had no chance of capturing Zhuang Jiu's base!

What could they do?

The leaders looked at one another.

They'd better hurry up and submit, becoming subordinate safe zones under their lord. Then perhaps they could get in her good graces and enjoy a life of plenty!

Five years into the apocalypse, half the safe zones had become subordinate to Zhuang Jiu.

Her workload suddenly ballooned, and the pressure became unbearable. After working for two days straight, she finally snapped, stormed into the heavily guarded laboratory at the base, grabbed the man by the collar, and roared, "Hurry up! When are you going to develop the antidote? I can't take this anymore!"

Gan Jinxing pointed at the supercomputer beside him. "You'll have to ask it. Humanity will be saved when it finishes running."

She loves stockpiling all kinds of things beyond what she needs, just in case, and enjoys shopping and making things with her own hands. Several of her skills are top-tier.
