I Can Feel What My Nemesis Feels Through Our Phones

Yu Zhen woke up one morning to discover that he shared sensations with his sworn enemy Chi Xu through their phones.

When Chi Xu's phone was set to vibrate, Yu Zhen would buzz all over as if he were vibrating too.

When Chi Xu's phone ran out of battery, Yu Zhen would feel drained and weak, as if he'd run out of power himself.

When Chi Xu's phone overheated from overuse, Yu Zhen's face would flush a deep pink, his breathing growing hot and heavy, as though he had a fever.

Even when Chi Xu held his phone and plugged it in to charge, Yu Zhen could feel someone gripping his waist, and then

Yu Zhen pressed his lips together, fighting the strange sensations in his body as he stormed over to Chi Xu's desk and yanked out the charger with gritted teeth.

"Plugging it in, plugging it in, always plugging it in! Can't you use wireless charging?!"

Chi Xu: "?"

*

Chi Xu and Yu Zhen had been at each other's throats since childhood. In front of their families, they were childhood sweethearts who got along perfectly. To everyone else, they were sworn enemies. Unluckily, they ended up at the same university, and even more unluckily, in the same dorm room.

They had expected to keep fighting until graduation, but lately, Chi Xu had noticed that his nemesis Yu Zhen was acting strangely.

He was picking more fights, couldn't sit still during class, and was even worse in the dorm. Especially when Chi Xu was using his phone, Yu Zhen would glare at him viciously, as if he wanted to rush over and tear him to pieces.

Chi Xu: ...What's wrong with him now?

Chi Xu didn't want to deal with Yu Zhen, but this childhood friend, who had never gotten along with him, seemed to have changed somehow.

When Yu Zhen looked at him, his peach-blossom eyes were wide open, bright and beautiful, glistening with mist and tinged red at the corners. It was really... hard to look away.

When Yu Zhen rushed over and unplugged his phone, Chi Xu didn't stop him.

The next second, he plugged the charger right back in.

Then he heard a soft, delicate whimper escape Yu Zhen's slightly parted lips.

Chi Xu's gaze darkened as he looked at the phone charging on the desk.

Things seemed to be getting interesting.
