My Mint Died in Winter

The salty sea breeze left me feeling numb. The moment my feet sank into the waves, someone called out to me from the shore.

"Let me tell you a secret."

His voice was so lovely, it poured into my ears and made them tingle.

"The Qi Ying in my name actually means 'abandoned baby.'"

I thought he liked me, but he was actually going to kidnap me.

But he was a pretty pathetic villain.

First-person POV, tragic ending.

Poor writing, proceed with caution.
