The Real Young Master Keeps Thinking He Transmigrated into a Book

Song Yu has an incredibly realistic precognitive dream and discovers that he's the fake young master who was switched at birth in a book.

Before long, the real young master, Jing Shi, will be brought home, and Song Yu will be kicked out. As the protagonist's foil, he'll meet a truly tragic end.

After thinking it over, Song Yu decides to cling to the real young master, Jing Shi, and do his best to be a decent person.

He painfully gives Jing Shi his most beloved treasures:

"Keep these. What's mine is yours! ...If I miss them later, will you let me look at them?"

He swallows his pride, puts an arm around Jing Shi, and acts like his brother:

"Starting today, I'm your big brother! ...Since we're brothers, when I come to your place, don't make me sleep in the guest room, okay?"

He takes Jing Shi to meet his parents and says solemnly:

"Don't be shy. From now on, my mom is your mom too! ...Of course, your mom is my mom too. I'll be good to her from now on."

After all that, Song Yu thinks his relationship with Jing Shi is so good they could share a pair of pants.

Song Yu relaxes: Great, my good brother will never abandon me.

Until one day, Song Yu's good brother comes to talk to him about his recent troubles.

"There's someone who gives me all the things he likes, tries every possible way to share a room with me, and insists I call his mom 'Mom.'" Jing Shi asks meaningfully, "What do you think he means?"

Song Yu answers without a second thought: "What else? He must like... Shit?"

Song Yu: ...I'm screwed. He's got the wrong idea.

-

When the paternity test results come in, Song Yu finally discovers that the whole "transmigrating into a book" and "real and fake young masters" thing was just a ridiculous dream.

Song Yu never expected that his huge blunder would also end up costing him his heart!

On the night they get together, Song Yu lies in bed and reflects on life, thinking he's gotten the raw end of the deal.

Jing Shi smiles and kisses him on the forehead. "Didn't you say we should become even closer?"

"I did say that," Song Yu grits his teeth in his arms, "but I didn't mean this kind of closeness!"
