My Neighbor Is the King of Hell

Zhu Ming had always considered himself an atheist, though he was actually terrified of ghosts. One late night, after moving into a new apartment, he was once again kept awake by the ghostly wailing and howling coming from across the hall. Finally unable to take it anymore, Zhu Ming stormed out of his room and began angrily pounding on his neighbor's door.

His neighbor, whom he had never met despite living there for over three months, took ages to open the door. The moment it finally swung open, Zhu Ming was ready to politely ask where the neighbor's ancestors were buried, because he planned to go pay his respects right then and there.

But things didn't go according to plan.

At the first sight of his neighbor, Zhu Ming exclaimed inwardly, "Whoa, he's so damn handsome. I'm in!"

At the second sight of his neighbor, Zhu Ming broke into a cold sweat. Oh no, he'd run into a murderer. He was done for!

At the third sight of his neighbor, Zhu Ming rolled his eyes. Could someone tell him why his neighbor was a ghost?

How should I put it? That night was spectacularly eventful for Zhu Ming, more heart-stopping than any melodramatic prime-time TV show.
