The Princess Consort

Another rewrite of a classic play. Those who've read my Legend of Xu Xian will understand. All settings in this story are made without responsibility, and I accept no consequences. I wrote it just for fun.

This is my first time writing a girls' love story, so please read with an open mind and be civil. Don't drag history into this or make a mountain out of a molehill. You can point out shortcomings, but if you just want to spout nonsense, please leave gracefully. Enjoy the story!

It is said that the Feng siblings were both talented and beautiful, pillars of the nation. Their appearances were somewhat alike, making it hard to tell male from female. One glimpse of them was enough to leave anyone stunned.

The two soon became famous throughout the capital, earning the emperor's esteem and the people's admiration.

And then,

the princess took a liking to one of them.

With the emperor and the chancellor playing matchmaker, a celebrated romance soon came to pass.

That very night, the two were married. The princess softly asked the handsome young groom, who sat by the table raising a cup to drown his sorrows, "Consort, with such a beautiful night and our wedding candles lit, why haven't you undressed?"

The consort could only set down his cup with a bitter smile, loosen his clothes, and walk toward the princess waiting on the bed.

"Princess, the night is long. Would you hear a story from me?"

As usual, the full story is complete. Updates here will be slow. Check the Weibo on my profile.

Theme: Reworking a play isn't making things up. Unofficial histories are the best, and the princess and her consort belong together.
