After the Magical Girl Retired

[Blurb One] Lily was chosen to be a magical girl at the age of twelve. To protect world peace, she punched monsters, kicked demons, fished for the moon in a fallen angel's arms one day, and rescued people from a vampire's jaws the next. After years of either winning over or offending countless bizarre villains, Lily finally retired when she reached the age limit. As everyone knows, being a magical girl is a temporary job. Once you become an adult, you automatically go from a magical girl to an ordinary college student. She gracefully accepted her quiet retirement. But it seemed her former adversaries weren't quite ready to do the same... An underage vampire prince disguised as a professor at her school abducted her to a clock tower. An evil alchemist who had enrolled in the chemistry department cornered her in the lab late at night. The guardian spirit her roommates had all started worshipping overnight was a fallen angel she'd once fought bitterly. The colossal golden statue the school had spent a fortune to acquire as its mascot was a fire-breathing dragon she'd once captured and ridden. They looked down at her, mocked her, and teased her. They said, "Lily, I hear you're really weak now?" Lily: ...Help! You can't come after me for old grudges! [Blurb Two] Lily attended her own funeral in a dream. In the dream, the man leading the memorial was handsome, hovering proudly in midair on a pair of pure white wings. The handsome man supporting the coffin looked cold and, as he gazed at the portrait, revealed a pair of vicious fangs. Countless onlookers with goat horns growing from their heads lined both sides of the road, chanting incomprehensible incantations in unison. From time to time, balls of flame came hurtling by. It turned out a dragon was circling overhead. Lily turned her head. The person accompanying her to lay flowers was a brown bear in a suit and tie. After three minutes of silence, the bear quietly said to her: "Lily, let's run." *My own brand of fantasy, with a wildly freewheeling world *Retired witch x all kinds of bizarre creatures Theme: Love and magic
