Our Ideas Aren't Selling, Please Help Us

The obscure illustrator Ji Nian wanted to ride the latest trends to get some attention, so he packed his new work with a whole series of contradictory, popular elements. Character traits: unhinged, a scheming green tea, sweet on the outside and dark within, a naive sweetheart, lovesick, a crybaby, succubus, an iceberg, landmine girl, gap moe, beautiful, strong, and tragic. Plot elements: transmigrate, reborn, card draws, sign-in, stock picking, livestreaming, ABO, mind reading, escape, split selves, infinite flow, rule-based horror. But fate had other plans. Just after finishing the basic setup, he transmigrated into the role of the protagonist's love interest in his own story. Luckily, he wasn't the only unlucky chosen one. Ling Chi, whom he'd used as the model for the protagonist's love interest, had also transmigrated into this broken world, now freely fleshed out by the world's own will. And so, in an abandoned school overrun by evil spirits "Brother Ling Chi, don't worry about me. You all should get out of here. I'll be fine." Ji Nian knelt on one knee, covering his heart in a show of weakness. The man called Ling Chi was slaughtering enemies not far away, striking with every swing of his blade, a vicious smile on his face. But the next second, with the sound of the midnight bell, he suddenly tossed aside his weapon and charged toward Ji Nian. At that moment, Ji Nian, who had seemed "frail," sprang up from the ground and instinctively caught Ling Chi in a bridal carry. His expression was half sunny, half melancholic. The evil spirits, who'd been fighting when their opponents suddenly vanished: "..." The onlookers waiting to cling to a strong ally: "..." "Why didn't you help me just now?" Ling Chi buried his face against Ji Nian's neck in his arms. "My wrist hurts." "...How am I, a green tea Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, a cheerful guy Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and an innocent sweetheart on Sunday, supposed to save you when you're gloomy by day, unhinged at night, and turn into a girl at midnight?" Ji Nian lamented. *This is a product of letting my imagination run wild. The setup may change before I start writing.* Theme: Break free from stereotypes and avoid reducing people to personality labels.
