Synopsis
Zhang Shuhuai transmigrates into the body of a mermaid in a laboratory. To become human, he needs someone to willingly help him through his first heat.
He thinks he might as well stop dreaming.
Then one day, the Empire's most pampered little prince comes for an inspection. He glances at Zhang Shuhuai with casual amusement, then dismisses the researchers' request for additional funding to expand the pool.
"It's just a fish. Why fuss over it so much?"

He grinds his teeth in secret as the little prince continues chatting and laughing.

Once he gets what he wants, Zhang Shuhuai makes a hasty escape to a remote planetary belt far from the central star systems.
It's the Empire's most backward and impoverished region. Even if that unlucky prince comes to his senses, he'll just have to accept his bad luck. There's no way he'd actually pay attention to this backwater.
Though he's in a remote region, Zhang Shuhuai is quite content. He even enrolls in school.
On the day of enrollment, Zhang Shuhuai looks at his bright-eyed classmates and feels that his future is full of promise.
That is, until he accidentally locks eyes with the inspector seated on the stage, who looks oddly familiar.
The inspector smiles gently at him, his gaze dangerous. A string of shimmering, pale gold scales slips silently from his cuff.
They're the scales Zhang Shuhuai shed before.

Seriously? The Empire governs thousands of planets, and they still run into each other here?
