Hello, 998 Will Help You Clear the Level!

Lin Zhiyue was an obscure horror novelist. After staying up for days, she tragically died of exhaustion and transmigrated into a survival livestream game in a higher plane.

Clear every instance and she could come back to life. Fail, and she would be permanently erased.

The game's clearance rate was less than 1%.

Lin Zhiyue: Impossible. I can't do it. I might as well give up.

But when Lin Zhiyue, who had already given up hope of clearing the game, encountered an instance boss, she froze.

The red-clad ghost roared, its breath reeking of death and decay. Those hands, responsible for countless deaths, closed around her neck. Her life hung by a thread, and the Grim Reaper had already drawn his scythe.

Just as Lin Zhiyue thought she was about to be eliminated right from the start, the ferocious ghost pressed affectionately against her neck and whispered softly, like a child asking for attention:

"Mom."

Second one: ??? Well, that was an easy way to become a mom.

Second two: Wait, wasn't this the horror novel she wrote?!

?

So while the other players struggled desperately to clear instances and defeat bosses, Lin Zhiyue started earning money to buy revival cards.

Want the little boss to spare you?

Sure. Opening special, only 10 points.

Want to know how to clear an instance?

Sure. 90 points per question, same price for everyone.

Want me to take you through an instance?

Sure. Limited-time special, only 998! You won't lose out! You won't get scammed!

What? You want me to carry you permanently?

Oh, then get a VIP (total sucker) annual membership!

Some livestream comments:

[I'm dying, what a cocky newbie. Are you trying to get yourself killed faster?]

[I'm done. Someone actually bought from her? Bro, if you don't care about your points, give them to me!]

[If she's telling the truth, I'll eat my hat while doing a handstand on the 999th floor!!]

*

[? Wait, that sucker who just bought something. Haven't I seen him on some leaderboard?]

[Yeah, you saw right. This suck... no, this handsome guy is the player's number one, the guy known as the human bug machine, and he's using an alt account.]

[I just came from the bug's livestream. His analysis of an SSS-level item isn't as detailed as the intel she sells for 10 points. Can we say that?]

[Uhh... hey, the guy who said he'd do a handstand. Are you still there?]

This is a power fantasy!
