I Can Hear Her Prayers

A completed, sweet campus romance. The whole story costs just three yuan to read. Come enjoy some sweetness!

Synopsis:

Qi Wang, a new university student in 2021, has always been a materialist who believes in doing the bare minimum and waiting to die. After a car accident caused by saving a cat, she suddenly acquires a radio. When she presses the play button, she hears a cool, devout female voice, apparently praying.

During her freshman year, Qi Wang hears plenty of girls' wishes. One wants a family, another hopes to rank first in her major. Qi Wang decides that wishes like these, which can't come true, are just dreams. But lately, the wishes have become more and more specific. From hoping the wonton shop near campus will open to hoping her major professor will end class five minutes early, she can hear them all through the radio.

Then, on the first day of her sophomore year, the senior assigned to take her to the new campus... has the exact same voice. The woman before her has the exquisite looks you'd expect from someone with such an aloof voice, and cold eyes. It's hard to imagine that she likes the old wonton shop next to campus, which has been there for who knows how long. That day, Qi Wang learns the girl's name: Qiao Wei.

Out of kindness, Qi Wang grants Qiao Wei's prayers one by one. Some are big, like wanting to see a dazzling fireworks display; others are small, like wanting to try the latest drink at the campus milk tea shop. In the end, Qi Wang herself becomes Qiao Wei's "wish."

One day, after Qi Wang goes to an amusement park with the childhood friend who has a crush on her, she realizes she forgot to turn off the radio. She hears a voice from it, its usual coolness marred by emotion. The woman speaks through tears: "I wish... Qi Wang wouldn't like anyone else, and would only like me."
