Why Get Married? I'm Ascending to Immortality!

The day Shen Chen married his junior sister, I ascended.

Shen Chen didn't believe me, looking annoyed. "You'd make up a lie like that?"

He didn't know that, at that very moment, celestial music was playing in unison atop Chenyu Peak.

I rode on colorful clouds and climbed the ladder to heaven, leaving the cultivation world without a backward glance.

After searching everywhere and failing to find me, Shen Chen went mad.

He forced my phoenix to form a bond with his junior sister, bleeding it and plucking its feathers.

"This is the spirit pet Master gave her. She couldn't possibly stand by and do nothing."

Shen Chen was wrong.

I really did turn a blind eye and stay in the divine realm.

Because Master wasn't dead.

He was in the divine realm too.
