A Daughter Must Obey Her Father When She Marries

Chu Nian'an, the empress of Chu, ascended the throne as a child with the help of her uncle, Chu Zixuan. Everyone knew that Regent Chu Zixuan and Marquis Xuzhen Xu Shize had divided the realm between them: one governed the court with his pen, while the other secured the western frontier with his sword.

The state of Chu grew powerful, and nations came to pay tribute. But suddenly, rumors spread throughout the capital that the regent and the marquis planned to retire together.

Before one matter had settled, another arose. The empress fell into the water and caught a chill, requiring time to recover. Her intelligence also regressed to that of a ten-year-old, leaving her unable to rule. The regent shook his head helplessly. He had finally managed to hand over power, only to return to square one.

Then someone suggested finding the empress a consort to bring her good fortune!
