A Childhood-Friend Marriage Pact with My Love Rival

Ning Jingmiao, a rich heiress, suddenly gains a set of memories. In them, the man her family arranged for her to marry promises her a future even though he can't get over his ex-girlfriend. In the end, their marriage is nothing but torment.

So when everything starts unfolding just as it did in her memories, Ning Jingmiao hires paparazzi to expose her arranged partner's tangled love life, hoping to get away unscathed. But she can't tell anyone about the inexplicable memories, and her family all think she is hopelessly in love with her arranged partner. They want to help her put an end to the star-crossed romance between those two.

With no other choice, Ning Jingmiao doesn't want to become enemies with her future arranged partner, so she tells her family that she already has someone else in her heart.

But who can she find to play along?

Then she spots a fellow university graduate who's working hard to build a business. His family isn't as well-off as hers, but he does have an enterprise. He's not valued by his family, but he does have connections. His features aren't striking, but he's still a rare, fresh-faced handsome guy... Taking all these factors into account, the two sign a marriage contract.

While the love story of her former arranged partner becomes the talk of the entire city, the Ning family's son-in-law is just as famous in their circles. People lament the former couple, but envy the new one.

While chatting, her friends ask what the two of them were doing when they first met. She answers honestly: "He was buying doughnuts for my rival in love."
