The Demon King Proposes to Me Every Day Across the Six Realms

● Probably a short story (100,000–200,000 characters)

The Demon King Zhong Yan fell in love with Chi Su at first sight, then proclaimed his love to him before the Six Realms every single day.

He did this day after day for ten thousand years, but Chi Su never once responded.

Zhong Yan: "I've pursued you for ten thousand years. When will you agree to become my queen?"

Chi Su: "Why insist, Demon King? You are a demon and I am a god. Our paths are different, so we could never spend our lives together. Besides, I'm a full 240,000 years older than you. I could be your great-grandfather."

Zhong Yan: "If I become a god, could we be together then?"

Chi Su: "We both know that's impossible. Thank you for your affection, Demon King, but please choose someone else to be your queen."

Then one day, Zhong Yan stopped proclaiming his love to the Six Realms. The gods thought he had finally given up.

But then six bolts of heavenly lightning came crashing down, straight into the Demon Realm.

Everyone went to investigate, only to find that the Demon King had used his demon core to summon the lightning.

The Demon King's palace was destroyed. The Demon King was no more, and no one remained to proclaim his love for Chi Su throughout the Six Realms.

Three thousand years later, the Demon Realm welcomed a new ruler, and gods from all Six Realms attended the feast.

They all recognized the new Demon King: it was Zhong Yan, who had disappeared for three thousand years. The difference was that he had become a god.

The next day, the gods of the Six Realms saw the Demon King's new marriage proposal to Chi Su.

Zhong Yan: "Chi Su, I destroyed my demon core and endured the heavenly lightning for you. Now I've been reborn and ascended to godhood. Will you give me the chance to spend my life with you?"

Chi Su: "I've been thinking about it for three thousand years."
