After I Drove the Old Ancestor Mad

Xie Xueting transmigrates into a cultivation novel as a cannon-fodder female character in the Shura Sect.

This sect is strange: to find a "puppet" and practice Dual Cultivation, its members must survive their tribulation and live another day.

To stay alive, she decides to go down the mountain and find a "puppet." One day, she accidentally trespasses into a forbidden area and gets trapped in the mountains.

With no other choice, she can only wait there to die.

But then a handsome man with no magic or cultivation suddenly appears in the mountains. A "puppet" like him comes along only once in a hundred years, so without a second thought, she ties up his hands and feet.

Over the next three months, the man goes from glaring furiously, gritting his teeth and silently enduring it, to despairing and losing his voice, until finally he gazes at her with empty eyes.

After three months of enjoying herself, Xie Xueting finally passes her tribulation and greatly increases her cultivation. As she leaves, she draws her sword and thrusts it at the man, leaving a thin line of blood on his throat.

But she stops herself and decides to spare his life.

She smiles at him without a hint of feeling. He is nothing but a pretty face.

But then, as it turns out...

That man is none other than the revered patriarch of the entire cultivation world, worshipped for five thousand years. Every thousand years, he retreats into the deep mountains to fast and practice a technique that restores his youth. During that time, he has neither magic nor inner strength.

Rumor has it that the cultivation patriarch has gone mad. He has always been indifferent and unconcerned with worldly affairs, but suddenly he begins slaughtering people, and everyone is on edge.

The patriarch kills everyone who has befriended Xie Xueting, leaving few alive.

The patriarch has gone mad, and Xie Xueting is nearly driven mad by him too.

That day, at last, his cold, obsessive gaze backs her into a corner.

She gives a desolate smile, waiting for him to run her through with his sword.

Instead, he binds his own hands, his eyes bloodshot. "Isn't this what you like?"

Meng Xun, whom Xie Xueting tormented for three months until he was utterly broken, never imagined that she would look so cold when she left.

That look clearly said she thought he wasn't good enough for her.

Because of it, he nearly lost his mind.
